So18Feb17:00Engadin Festival - Piano DaysBeatrice Berrut: Piano recital with works by Tchaikovsky, Dukas, Stravinski, Saint-Saens and others

Event details

The Swiss pianist Beatrice Berrut grew up in the Valais mountains and is now at home on the world's major concert stages. «The mountains naturally influence my piano playing; they bring me a certain spirituality. I have a great respect for the mountains, and also for the music,” she says. And the press praises: “The intensity of her playing is extraordinary, as is the depth of expression. The fullness and diversity of the piano sound that Beatrice Berrut elicits from her grand piano is no less impressive than the virtuosic keyboard magic that she unfolds.» (Classic today)

Their programs are finely designed and sophisticated and often include their own transcriptions. In the “Abracadabra” program, the magic of fairy tales mixes with the magic of dreams. It begins with the large ballet repertoire and ends with the well-known pieces from Walt Disney's timeless classic “Merlin the Magician”.
