It wasn't long ago when a small virus forced Switzerland to pause. And yet it seems like an eternity ago. Kind of surreal, right? Did it all really happen? And how much longer will it all take? Minutes, short stories, correspondence and poems were written in the quarantine. Fatima Moumouni is a spoken word poet, presenter and columnist and has been on the road with her texts on various stages in Switzerland and internationally since the end of 2011. In addition to solo appearances, she performs as a duo with Laurin Buser To the golden smith which won the Swiss as well as the international German-language championships in the poetry slam in 2019. The two are currently touring with their joint GOLD evening program. The Zurich-based artist is involved in the public discourse on racism with her work and offers workshops on the subject. Michelle Steinbeck is the author of books, plays and reports. Your debut novel My father was a man on land and a whale in the water (Lenos, 2016) was nominated for the German and the Swiss Book Prize and was chosen by the Reading Club des Shotts Prison as the Best Book of the Edinburgh Book Festival. The volume of poetry followed in 2018 Caged birds sing more (Voland & Quist); The short story collection will appear in 2020 The return of the lobster in translation by Jen Calleja (Makina Press). Steinbeck is managing editor of Factory newspaper and columnist of the WOZ. Her literary and journalistic texts have been translated into several languages. She studies philosophy and sociology at the University of Basel and Hamburg. She is a co-founder of the RAUF authors' collective. Laurin Buser is a rapper, spoken word poet and presenter. So far he has toured with three full-length shows, currently with the evening program "GOLD" together with Fatima Moumouni. Together they are reigning German-speaking and Swiss poetry slam champions. He acted as the host for the online investigative format Hunter-gatherer from Funk, ZDF. His album Jewellery appeared in 2017 on the label kunststadt of the Hamburg rap star Samy Deluxe. At the beginning of the year his new singles "Wozu" and "Wo warst du" appeared.
