Event details
The Symphonic Brass Project (SBP) is a music course week open to advanced amateur musicians, music students and professional musicians. Works and arrangements for large brass ensembles (6 trumpets, 4 horns, 3 trombones, euphonium, 2 tubas) with percussion are rehearsed and performed, which are not often played due to the technical requirements and the occupation of classical brass bands.
The SBP thus enables musicians and concertgoers to develop and listen to concert wind music that is outside the mainstream. This year, in addition to the original works by Paul Huber, Thomas Trachsel and Frode Rydland, two arrangements of classic works by Ottorino Respighi will be performed.
The musical direction has been in the hands of the Swiss conductor and composer Thomas Trachsel for ten years
