Best friends Toni and Yumyum are spending the night in the garden. Using a homemade "cosmic radio," they plan to contact Toni's deceased mother in heaven. Instead, they reach astronaut Zanna on the International Space Station (ISS). For the night, she becomes the girls' confidante in matters concerning the heavens – until their bittersweet farewell into space, at the end of which Toni receives a "Mommy Star.".

The book based on the play «Himmelwärts» by Karen Köhler won the German Youth Literature Prize in 2025.
