The trio MIMANÉE, consisting of jazz singer Neele Pfleiderer, marimba player Michael Kiedaisch and bass clarinetist and saxophonist Matthias Stich, combines contemporary jazz with influences and sounds from around the world. In their music they adapt elements from related genres such as world music, new music and pop. The warm sound of the marimba, reminiscent of the African percussion instrument ballaphone, paired with the bass lines of the deep clarinet characterize the overall sound of this trio, which is unique in this combination.
