Half a century ago, Klaus Doldinger founded the band The Motherhood, which can be considered the blueprint for his legendary jazz-rock formation Passport. Now Doldinger is reviving the Motherhood pieces in a contemporary manner in the current Passport style. Doldinger reports on the short but important motherhood phase: “It was an exciting time. At that time, rock music was opening up to jazz and the forms that are now known as world music. Soul became increasingly sophisticated. And I was right in the middle of it, coming from jazz.” And Doldinger is still right in the middle – and that at the age of 84. Admission: CHF 175.00
