Event details

Korean pianist Su Yeon Kim has gained worldwide recognition by winning first prize at the Concours musical international de Montréal in 2021.

The press celebrates her as "one of the most sensitive and sincere musicians of the young generation" and attests her ability to read "behind the score".

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Su Yeon received her first lessons at the age of 5 and moved to Salzburg at the age of 19 to study with Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University.

Su Yeon has performed at the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Salle Cortot Paris, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and other concert halls. In the 2022/23 season, Su Yeon will give a piano recital at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and will tour North America. Her first album with piano works by Mozart will be released soon.
