Event details
When Filippo Gamba won the Géza Anda Competition and the Mozart Prize in 2000, the jury said: "With the rigorous, passionate seriousness that characterizes him, the Italian pianist Filippo Gamba embodies the figure of a philosopher of the piano." Since then, the Veronese native has performed with orchestras such as the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and under masters such as Simon Rattle, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Armin Jordan. Passing on his art to young pianists is now also of great importance: Filippo Gamba is a member of various competition juries, a professor at the Basel University of Music and gives master classes worldwide.
