Angèle Thijs (vocals) and Jürg Freudiger (double bass) have been playing in various formations for 20 years
on the road, among others in the trio Thijs Again with the Neuchâtel guitarist Pat Enz or as Double-Double-Trouble with Matteo Burci on the second double bass (Double Bass).

With A Fine Romance, they explore the possibilities of the duo. Angèle Thijs' warm voice harmonizes beautifully with the earthy sound of Jürg Freudiger's double bass. The repertoire encompasses jazz standards from various eras, from rousing swing and gentle ballads to emotional bossa nova, complemented by a few excursions into the world of jazzy pop. In the duo's intimate setting, the sometimes familiar tunes take on new qualities.
