Event details
The 15-year-old violin virtuoso Nikita Koller is a multiple prizewinner of international competitions and is on his way to conquering the world stage.
At just 10 years old, he made his debut as a soloist with a chamber orchestra. Since then, Nikita has performed with various orchestras, including the Zurich Chamber Philharmonic, the Bavarian Philharmonic in Munich, and the Camerata Tchaikovsky in London. Concert appearances have taken him to prestigious venues such as the KKL Lucerne, the Stadtcasino Basel, the Mozarteum Salzburg, and Carnegie Hall in New York. Last summer, he was one of a small group of young artists selected for the prestigious Verbier Festival Soloists' Academy. Nikita is currently studying in London at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Professor Robin Wilson.
Together with pianist Pavel Pozdyshev, Nikita will offer a musical journey with pieces by Bach, Mozart, Paganini, and Beethoven. The highlight of the program will be the Carmen Fantasy by the Spanish composer Pablo de Sarasate, bringing the southern flair of balmy summer nights and fiery emotions to St. Moritz.
