The ensemble «I musichieri» has been synonymous with high-quality, virtuoso salon music for over 20 years. In the Ticino dialect, the name means something like «musicians who play at dances». In an amusing and playful way, it cultivates this style, which was popular around 1900 until the middle of the 20th century on ocean liners,
in grand hotels, Viennese cafés or spa pavilions. In addition to virtuoso pieces, their repertoire also includes hits from the 1920s, blissful operetta melodies and dances from waltzes to tango and Charleston to swinging foxtrot, as well as wonderful entertainment music from
the so-called «Beromünster» era of the 50s and 60s, named after the Swiss radio station «Beromünster».
