The concert is the final highlight of the intensive course week, in which pieces for violin, cello and piano as well as for chamber ensembles and string orchestras were practiced by the participants in concert-ready form. They are young virtuosos between the ages of 12 and 22, among them numerous competition prizewinners.

Under the direction of Jens Lohmann, they present an extremely varied program with works by Bach and Vivaldi, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert, Tchaikovsky and Ravel. Variatio delectat - the colorful selection of musically familiar and "exotic" has something for everyone.

Concerts with highly talented young artists attract more and more listeners. The public knows: Nowadays, their training takes them to a high technical level at an early age; coupled with youthful “Sturm und Drang” emotion, this results in inspiring occasions.

The internationally renowned Chinese flutist Qiling Chen will also appear as a special guest. The Canadian pianist Walter Prossnitz accompanies the matinée on the piano.
