For the Festival da Jazz 2020, James Gruntz is preparing the big ladle this year. He travels to the Engadin with a five-piece formation that he has put together especially for the occasion, reinterprets his own song material with this five-piece band, combines heavy grooves with light-footed scat singing and spices everything up with a good helping of improvisation. In this way you will get to know the songs ("Waves", "Heart Keeps Dancing", "You" ...) of the singer-songwriter, who has won several Swissmusic Awards, from a completely new perspective.
