There are three so-called "birds": singer Patricija Škof, saxophonist Tibor Pernarčič, and guitarist Tilen Beigot, all of whom come from Slovenia. The band birds of unknown Founded in 2020, they made their debut on Slovenian national radio (RTV Slovenija). They are the youngest winners of the 49th Jazz Juniors, a prestigious international competition in Krakow, Poland, and will release their new album on the EMME Records label in winter 2026.

The trio released their critically acclaimed debut album in 2022. Gently Sailing Since then, they have been actively performing internationally at numerous festivals and venues, including the Ljubljana Jazz Festival, MENT, Porgy & Bess Vienna, Kino Šiška, Blue Note Dresden, Budapest Showcase Hub, Cankarjev dom, and many more. In October 2022, they also performed as the opening act for Alfa Mist at the Palác Akropolis in Prague. They were selected as Slovenian representatives for the European tour project. Footprints Europe They were selected in 2022, which led to their first international tours in 2023, and were nominated for the HEMI Award in 2023. Since then, they have been touring internationally.
