The Association Academic Chamber Orchestra Zurich (AKO) of the ETH and University of Zurich was founded in 1992. Depending on the programme, the orchestra consists of around 40 students, assistants and alumni from the two universities. The programs of the AKO are developed in time-concentrated rehearsal sessions. The artistic director is Johannes Schlaefli, who is entering his well-deserved retirement with this concert season.
