Event details

LA MILANESIANA is Italy's largest travelling festival promoting dialogue between the arts. Now the festival is celebrating its debut in St. Moritz with a prestigious event.

This year's theme of the festival, which is highly regarded in Italy, is "Shyness (and its opposites)" and highlights the nuanced interplay of reticence and boldness in various artistic and intellectual expressions.

The evening in St. Moritz will open with a reading by Tahar Ben Jelloun. Ben Jelloun is a Francophone Moroccan writer and psychotherapist and is considered the most important representative of French-language literature from the Maghreb.

Following the reading, the evening will continue with the music of Raphael Gualazzi, a celebrated Italian singer, pianist and composer known for his unique blend of jazz, blues and pop. Gualazzi will be accompanied by the extraordinary Emma Morton, a singer-songwriter known for her soulful voice and eclectic style. Their collaboration promises a magical musical experience that perfectly embodies the theme of the evening through her dynamic performance.

The event will be opened by festival director Elisabetta Sgarbi.
