In her highly acclaimed current book "His Because", for which Zora del Buono won the Swiss Book Prize 2024, the author processes a piece of family history: She was still a baby when her father was killed in a traffic accident through no fault of his own; the young driver ET had lost control of his car. "His Because" Zora became a half-orphan and her mother a widow. The father always remained the big gap in the family. His name was hardly mentioned. Only now, 60 years later, has the daughter set out to find the truth: What happened to ET? How has guilt shaped his life? In conversation with Luzia Stettler, the author talks about her research and comments on how healing writing can be in such a case.
