Event details
According to the press, his playing is “filled with an almost magical inner power”. And the conductor Antonio Pappano said: «This pianist sings at the piano. And in his playing he has a wonderful combination of rigor and freedom, of head and heart». We are talking about Francesco Piemontesi, born in Locarno in 1983. He is considered one of the most interesting and imaginative pianists of our time. He plays with the world's most renowned orchestras from all continents such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the London Symphony and the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo and is a guest at the Salzburg Festival, the Lucerne Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Musk Festival and the BBC Proms. In addition, since 2012 he has been the artistic director of the "Settimane Musicali di Ascona". Francesco Piemontesi is a guest at the Engadin Festival Piano Days with a Mostly Schubert program - a composer who is particularly close to his heart.
