With the Heritage Trio, the internationally successful Swiss pianist Thierry Lang is reflecting on the standards roots of jazz (Lang's first great role model was the wonderful standards changer Bill Evans). With the US bassist Darryl Hall, who lives in Paris, and the drummer Mario Gonzi from Vienna, he has hired two proven superswing experts who make every groove fly. The harmonica virtuoso Olivier Ker Ourio will join the trio as a guest and will awaken memories of the congenial cooperation between Lang and the Belgian jazz star Toots Thielemans, who died five years ago.
