Bergell was the home valley of the Giacometti artists. Over time the family lived in several houses in Borgonovo, Montaccio, Caccior, Stampa and Maloja Capolago and the artists Giovanni, Augusto and Alberto shared four studios. The Sentiero Giacometti, which will be inaugurated at Easter 2024, leads to more than 25 buildings in which representatives of the family worked, to locations with stories that are important for the art of the twentieth century far beyond the country's borders.
In his lecture, Marco Giacometti, President of Centro Giacometti, presents some of these buildings and tells stories of the people who lived in them. He pays particular attention to the architect Bruno Giacometti, who designed Alberto's 1930 studio in Maloja Capolago.
