The two architects Nicolaus Hartmann have had a significant influence on the appearance of St. Moritz. In St. Moritz Dorf, buildings such as the extensions to the Hotel Kulm, the Hotel La Margna, the Old Schoolhouse, the Engadine and Segantini Museums were built. In St. Moritz Bad, the former French-Calvinist church, the Catholic Church of St. Karl and the Hotel Reine Victoria are particularly worth mentioning. The lecture will focus on developments in the work of individuals and differences between father and son in different eras.
Dr. phil. Leza Dosch, art historian in Chur, is the author of numerous studies and publications. The book "Design in competition. On the architectural history of Graubünden 1850–1930" (Scheidegger & Spiess) was published as a study by the Institute for Cultural Research in Graubünden.
