The pianist Mariangela Vacatello, born in Naples in 1982, has demonstrated her virtuosity, her passionate interpretations and her great musicality all over the world in the twenty years since her professional debut. She made her mark on the international stage as a 17-year-old when she won second prize at the Liszt Competition in Utrecht. Since then she has received numerous other prestigious awards: at the Concours Queen Elisabeth in Brussels, the prize of the Solti Foundation, the Rising Star The Gilmore and many others. Mariangela has performed with such renowned orchestras as the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, the Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia Rome, the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Northwest German Philharmonic and with conductors such as Andris Nelsons, Krystof Penderecky and Andrès Orozco-Estrada.
