Event details
In the quiet Advent of the Engadine, this traditional week offers the opportunity to get into the musical mood for Christmas in a stimulating community of like-minded people. As every year, the focus of the work will be on a festive work for choir and orchestra from the 18th century that has been reworked and made playable again. Many other beautiful works await their rediscovery in the unique music library of Einsiedeln Monastery. Regular choral vocal training is used to develop personal vocal skills as well as a balanced choral sound. Instrumentalists also meet for joint music-making lessons, where ensemble music is maintained and assignments in the orchestra are prepared. The extended lunch break offers the opportunity for walks and excursions; chamber music can also be enjoyed individually during this time. Contributions of all kinds from the group of participants are very welcome for the voluntary evening programs and enrich the choir week.
