Dmitry Yudin is a multiple prize winner of the 2024 Géza Anda Competition in Zurich, where he impressed the audience and jury member Martha Argerich with a memorable performance of Bartók's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich under the direction of Paavo Järvi. Born in Moscow in 2001, the pianist studied at the Gnessin School of Music before moving to New York, where he has lived since 2019 and studied with Horacio Gutierrez at the Manhattan School of Music. In 2022, he won the MSM Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition with Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2. In 2023, he gave a recital in Boston after winning the HMA Foote Award. He has also won prizes at the New York Concert Artists Auditions and the Wideman Concerto Competition in Shreveport, Louisiana. He performs with orchestras such as the Baltic States Youth Symphony Orchestra, the St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Bulgarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Sofia and the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra under Gábor Takács-Nagy, with whom he will play Mozart's 15th Piano Concerto in Switzerland in September 2025.
