Poetic lyrics, strong melodies and virtuoso solos: 8 octopi plays new jazz songs with contemporary sounds. 
The band, led by flautist Ben Zahler, presents new songs and, in Patricija Skof, also features a new singer. The quartet is completed by Iannis Obiols (piano) and Ilya Alabuzhev (double bass), who guarantee musical interplay at the highest level and provide plenty of energy and groove.
The band offers the rare combination of a female singer with a jazz flute and a drumless rhythm section. The songs of "8 octopi" are jazzy, the lyrics bitterly sarcastic, funny, and poetic.
