Event Details

This course focuses on the interpretation of Consort literature of the 16th and early 17th centuries from England and Italy. Furthermore, the basics of interplay such as intonation, phrasing, dynamics, articulation, ensemble sound etc. are worked on. The music notes will be sent to you for preparation before the course starts. At the end of the week there will be a final concert.

Target groupe
The course is aimed at music teachers and advanced amateurs with ensemble experience, including Golden Agers, who want to learn the basics of ensemble playing and the details of literature. Existing ensembles or individual players who are put together into balanced ensembles by the course director are addressed. Listeners are welcome. Please indicate any instruments available when registering.

Martina Joos
Studied recorder at the academy of music in Zurich and musicology at the University of Zurich. International concert activity as a soloist and as a member of RAYUELA, CD and radio recordings, teaching at the Zurich Conservatory of Music.
