Event Details

For many years, Claudio Chiogna left his mark on the Engadin Festival, which celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2021. It was founded in 1941 by the pastor of Silvaplana, Ernst Schulthess, and his brother Walter, concert agent and composer. They brought greats of classical music such as Clara Haskil, Dinu Lipatti and many others to the Engadine. In the 1970s, the Chiognas took over the management of the festival – first the father, then the son Claudio. To mark the anniversary, the festival is organizing a tribute concert with talks and music.

Moderation: Dominik Sackmann, musicologist
